BELLA LUNA DIAMANTE:

e-mail 29.05.2002:

Hi Markus,

The Bella Lunas arrived in good condition yesterday and we set them up immediately. Out of the box they sound very good, better than I anticipated, in fact. They also looked just like in the photo. Terrific.

Best regards,
Jim

e-mail 05.06.2002 after burn in a little bit:

Hello, Markus,

Just a note to say I am very impressed by the Bella Luna's performance after such a short break-in period. This speaker is addictive! I think I spent more time just listening to music today than I have in many weeks. Not only that, but a female friend who rarely has a moment for music sat with me for half an hour listening to a popular recording. She also commented very favorably on the Bella Luna's appearance.

I wrote a friend, today, to thank him for introducing me, via his review, to the Duevel line. I also told him his review wasn't strong enough (although he did give the speaker high numbers). He had a small hesitation about the bass performance but in my room the bass is deep and tight.

He also mentioned the speaker didn't have a tight focus. I don't consider this a criticism at all. The slightly diffuse nature of the imaging is one of the lovely features of the sound. This is a more realistic presentation than "pinpoint" imaging. I really like the Bella Lunas!

In fact, I would include the Bella Lunas high up on a short list of speakers to take with me to a desert island. They might even be the ones I'd take. They are the most fun loudspeakers I've had the pleasure of listening to in my syst51, 38, em. Yet, they have all the virtues a purist such as myself would want.

Thank you for giving me a chance to sample the Duevel line. They are really great!

Best regards,
Jim
